Idiosyncrasies make us who we are

I’m intrigued by people’s idiosyncrasies, even my own. I’m so interested in the things that make people who they are on this journey; the little quirks that make us unique.

I, myself, have this thing where I prefer to eat my food through edible vessels. Number one choice being chips. I like to pile my food onto chips and eat it like that. Then tortillas. And so the list keeps going to where I generally prefer to use spoons over forks.

This isn’t something most people know about me. And in social settings I normally just go by whatever custom is expected. But in the comfort of my own home I rarely use forks at all. I even have a stash of emergency tortillas in the freezer.

I find it funny. These little things that developed by choice, habit or reinforcement. They are so interesting to me.

We humans are such dynamic creatures. Even through all the shit, through all the shitty actions people do, through all the violence, selfishness, greed, exploitation, on and on the plethora of horrible things we do to each other and our environment….. I can still find majesty in what it is to be a human being.

This experience of becoming and being and dying. It’s all so enrapturing to me. You know?

I have always enjoyed reading and writing. Maybe because I have always been on the quiet and reclusive side; which most people may not guess at first glance or if seeing me in a social setting, especially around people I am comfortable with but it’s also not something I have an issue with. I need solitude to recharge. Writing gives me the peace and time to renew myself...here that is offered to you for your enjoyment and pleasure as well. I hope. Lol
