Glass shards littered about
Sparkling in the hesitating sunlight
The cold wind finds its way into her bones
No one to nestle her
Night will come too soon
How many more lessons does life have in store?
It’s a waxing gibbous moon tonight
Beckoning her
Taunting her
“Do you even remember how to howl?”
It snickers and jags
Here somewhere
Hidden between all the broken and dusty souvenirs
Fragments of time she wishes to forget
“Come dance!”
The moon commands
Feel the blood ignite
Awaken the Goddess
Out of the ashes of the demon pit she welcomes your return
Don’t let her down again
