Vaccines / abortions (volatile)

I don’t know what it’s going to come down to. I just don’t trust the government, nor the pharmaceutical companies and especially not how closely together they work in all aspects of our lives from farming to food labels to vaccines and control of what we get to know and don’t get to know, get to choose from and don’t get to choose from.

So I absolutely will not fucking get a Covid-19 vaccine. I don’t see why they can’t just use natural antibodies. If they spent half the time learning things that maybe cost more but don’t harm us instead of the crap they push down our throats. I’m sorry. I don’t need aluminum and other carcinogens and chemicals in my blood. Thanks. (Why the hell do prescriptions, OTC medication, vitamins and supplements need artificial food coloring and harmful preservatives? Just why? Do they sell better? Make a better profit margin?*)

I can think of a few solutions for problems but I can’t think of solutions that even though would make perfect sense in this space and time and be a potential win/win people find moral issue with. Look. I absolutely agree. Abortion should not exist. It absolutely is a soul killed. But when all the circumstances are removed from a person life to not need one then we will have true success in this world.

Realistically though, I do believe we should absolutely not have as many abortions as we do for any reason besides health of the mother. Incest and rape should not be a thing. Let’s solve that issue. Can we? That will stop some abortions. Being able to easily and discreetly, if necessary, get birth control should be a thing. Condoms should be like candy at Halloween, just way too much of it available everywhere you go. Lol. I suggested some sort of small implant or some small form of reversible castration of all boys. But that still wouldn’t solve rape and incest; now would it? So no reason to be so extreme and cruel.

Definitely helping women learning self value, good coping skills, feeling true hope, and a way to find happiness within herself first and not as what she can do or provide for others, or even get from others.

Helping women and men learn to value all people equally. Helping men (and women) to value not just their own but other people’s bodies and sense of self as well. And of course to learn not to take advantage of people, even if you can.

I used to hear men complain about women using them when I dated avidly. I heard it from another single man not even that long ago. I get it. It’s a world eat world kind of thing we have going on. This was even before the pandemic.

But in this reality what makes sense is to let people do what they feel is right for themselves, their lives, and their children.

Everyone should be able to make mistakes in life. Some people make very hard ones and pay a steep price.

But like I told the checker at the store who was not wearing a mask last week, because he chose not to, “there has to be room for individuality” in any society. He seemed to understand the price to me.

I know the price as well I think, at least. Vaccines don’t always work and sometimes they cause serious damage and make things worse…. especially for some people; like those already immunocompromised. Plus they should be administered like ALL other drugs; by weight, size, sex, predispositions and what other medications you are on. None of these are looked at. No alternatives either. No holistic approach is allowed.

They at least used to separate the MMR into 3 shots so your immune system wasn’t overloaded. But it was too expensive for the pharmaceutical companies. Boo hoo. Theoretically you’d be able to then pick and choose stress load on the immune system based on individual need. Maybe pharmaceutical companies should be government run as a non profit. That will teach those bloodsuckers.

So, no sorry. Will they be sending me to jail for it? I don’t know.

These are strange days indeed.

*How much is a life worth? Bet pharmaceutical companies have that calculated already for the next decade? As any good business would I’m sure? At what cost is all though? They’ve already been proven not to really care. But corporations are only people legally, and even then they actually have more protection laws than we humans do. Yet morally they are devoid of such feelings as empathy, responsibility and ethics. Or at least they seem to almost all be. πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

I have always enjoyed reading and writing. Maybe because I have always been on the quiet and reclusive side; which most people may not guess at first glance or if seeing me in a social setting, especially around people I am comfortable with but it’s also not something I have an issue with. I need solitude to recharge. Writing gives me the peace and time to renew that is offered to you for your enjoyment and pleasure as well. I hope. Lol

  1. Well said! A political candidate friend of mine said, in response to an abortion question in a all-candidates debate in a very religious down, (paraphrased) Nobody is pro-abortion, we’re pro-choice and anti-harm. We don’t reduce abortion by driving it underground, that just causes harm. We reduce it by reducing poverty. We reduce it by reducing violence against women. We reduce it through education. We reduce it by teaching boys and men to take responsibility. We reduce it by empowering young women to seek information and making it easy to seek birth control and making sure it is inexpensive or free.

Here’s a thought on vaccines; while I understand that we have to worry about rampant capitalism in healthcare, we don’t achieve that by dissing good science. In fact, if our governments funded really good science to develop vaccines, they could be a public good. But by repeated government cuts to independent science, we have create science-for-profit as the only avenue to public health. We basically need separation of state and capitalism.

The thing about natural antibodies: when we catch a cold or influenza we catch something that has been around for thousands of years. We have immunity, to varying degrees, throughout the population. The natural antibodies you speak of are ones that have been developed through exposure to those viruses. Exposure is the only way to create a natural antibody. In fact there are three or four other corona viruses that humans can get (not counting SARS and MERS) that we have some immunity to.

That’s why this one is called “novel” – it is new. And nobody has immunity. So, to develop natural antibodies, and achieve some herd immunity, we have to infect somewhere between 50 and 70 percent of the population. Because it seems to have roughly a 3% death rate, that would mean a catastrophic event (influenza is 0.1% death rate AND has immunity and vaccines). This is the path the UK tried until they realized the real-world implications of it.

I’m a big believer in good science (and I live with two people involved in various levels of health research). Vaccines basically fool your body into developing the natural antibody. And it remains the best hope to get us out of this without killings millions in the process.

    1. I know there is some valid science to vaccines but they aren’t the miracle cure they are touted to be. They are administered incorrectly, they are laden with toxins, they have never been studied with double blind studies, one has almost zero recourse if they are injured by them and the companies that push them do so for profit much more than the better good. Not to mention the times they actually create what they are trying to prevent, like the polio vaccines have in several instances of history even as current as a few years ago.

So no. I’m sorry. You are right though. Medicinal science for profit creates too many issues.

But personally until they rectify all these problems I’m not giving them the luxury of my obedience with them. Sorry.

    2. I think more research needs to be put into learning how to boost people’s immune system and support better hygiene worldwide. If this doesn’t prove we are all deeply connected as one world I’m not sure what would.

Have you seen the large UV lights that clean hospitals better and faster than manual cleaning ever could?

      1. No, I haven’t seen the UV lights! I’ll have to go look. Makes sense, though, we have a UV light unit on our home water filtration system. I’ll go look it up. Cool! πŸ™‚

I don’t want to get in a huge debate about vaccines, but, again, I’ve got a bit of an inside track here. πŸ™‚

Most vaccines and medications are subject to double-blind random tests. I don’t know where that myth that they aren’t comes from. There is a grain of truth, that I think has been blown out of proportion: Sometimes they don’t do double-blind randomized testing when there’s an ethical problem in doing so. For example, if you’re trying to create a better therapy when a good enough one already exists, you don’t want to give a placebo to a child who might die instead of the good enough treatment. There are other appropriate clinical testing such as cohort testing that are used with double-blind randomized tests are unethical or inappropriate. No vaccine goes to general use without some kind of appropriate clinical testing.

While I 100% agree that corporations have no conscience, the people working in labs all around the world do. And they wouldn’t want to harm their children or parents with an in appropriate medication.

That polio vaccine causing polio is scary. So I went and did some reading on; the reality is a lot less scary. And, of course, the *people* involved in public health care deeply about what happens and investigate and make adjustments. According to the WHO’s website, it almost always happens in situations where healthcare service is poor and access to immunization is low – so people may not get boosters in time which gives time for the pathogen to develop. In almost all cases, they manage to stop the outbreaks with attention to providing timely and quality vaccination.

The statistics are stunning and, while I respect your worries about a vaccine, we’re facing the same questions with COVID-19. 13 million cases of polio vs 760 cases:

“Since 2000, more than 10 billion doses of OPV have been administered to nearly 3 billion children worldwide. As a result, more than 13 million cases of polio have been prevented, and the disease has been reduced by more than 99%. During that time, 24 cVDPV outbreaks occurred in 21 countries, resulting in fewer than 760 VDPV cases.”

Until 2015, over 90% of cVDPV cases were due to the type 2 component in OPV. With the transmission of wild poliovirus type 2 already successfully interrupted since 1999, in April 2016 a switch was implemented from trivalent OPV to bivalent OPV in routine immunization programmes. The removal of the type 2 component of OPV is associated with significant public health benefits, including a reduction of the risk of cases of cVDPV2. ”

        1. Ok. Well. This is a severely one sided story. You say you have the ‘inside track” and while I agree that most people working for these corporations are probably ethical people and do care I don’t trust the government, nor the pharmaceutical companies, nor the statistics they create.

As far as the polio vaccine it isn’t supposed to need a booster. It was creating the polio in vaccinated people directly because of the vaccine, not in spite of it.
How many vaccines are we going to have pushed on us? Over 70 vaccines is far too many. This is without you once addressing the toxins they are laden with. I have seen for myself the damage they have caused.

The WHO had also been shown to be heavily complicit with pharmaceutical companies and have a sordid and sometimes unethical relationship.

I don’t have to change your mind or anyone else’s. I don’t care to. I just want the RIGHT to decide for myself. That’s it.

IT IS MY BODY and the only one I’m getting. So I should get to decide. Why is that so complicated?

        2. I’m sorry. I’m not trying to attack you. I just feel that the vaccine hype takes away my personal freedoms when a lot of it is not factual. When holistic medicine is just as good, if not better than chemical medicine. That should be my right. And I’m so sick of having to always defend whAt should be a basic right.

      2. Oh, no worries, I’m not trying to attack you either. Always, respectful sharing of understanding is helpful.

I respect your concerns about bodily autonomy, for sure. The issue is one of herd immunity which clearly creates some ethical entanglement.

BTW: Both my housemates work in public health settings. Government funding. I really feel a lot of gratitude for their understanding. While one of them is one degree of separation from some of the world’s leading epidemiologists there’s also a lot of talk about equity and delivery of healthcare to people living in poverty and dealing with language barriers and other issues. This is real science. Honest. And for so many of those public health issues, yes, absolutely, holistic solutions better sanitation, better hygiene, better education, better food all helps. But those things will not cure polio or smallpox and they won’t cure a novel corona virus.

I am very concerned about the trend to diss science simply for the sake of dissing science. I think a lot of people have fallen victim to it. If we don’t have evidence-based decision making, we have nothing, really. Is profit-taking a problem? Absolutely. Is corruption in the WHO a problem? Sure. But it doesn’t mean that science or international cooperation to solve problems are bad. It just means we have to redouble efforts to hold people accountable wherever possible.

        1. Yes but science always thinks it knows best and studies are often contradictory or skewed.

We are always disproving things people thought were absolute truths. I don’t believe in herd immunity. It has been proven with measles to not be true. As huge outbreaks have occured even in those recently immunized. Always excuses. Always rationale. I don’t care. I really am not trying to wage a war. U simply want autonomy for my body.

I am a firm believer in holistic health. It saved my life when western medicine could not. So I am not just anecdotally trying to be difficult to be difficult. I have seen and proved it to myself over an over throughout my years. It absolutely works. With almost no side effects much unlike western medicine..

My health is my choice. It is my body an I’m sick of people telling me what I can and can’t do with my life, my body and what should be my freedom based on companies that sell this crap for profit.

        2. Maybe when they become more transparent. Maybe when they stop hiding behind huge walls of impossible to navigate arbitration. Maybe when they stop price gouging. Maybe when they stop filling medicine with crap. Maybe when they stop putting profits before people.

Maybe then I’ll listen to what they have to say with more regard. Until then. They can suck my asshole. I want nothing to do with pharmaceuticals, as much as I can absolutely help it. And that should be my God damn right.

        3. But Blair. Nothing against you and your reality. It just isn’t my belief. I want to navigate my health my way. I want to put things in my body that I have control over. That I can monitor for myself. I know best what is right for me. I know my body. Pharmaceuticals and I don’t mix well. Generally. And that’s fine. Others can I what they want. I’m not telling anyone what to o with their body. See how nice I am. πŸ₯°
