So I’m sure you’ve seen this…..
They are basically giving anyone $770 (euros I believe) a month to move to cities with populations under 2k. You get the stipend for 3 years with the obligation to open a business for 5.
Here is a list of the most populated cities under 2k.
The problem is not that I don’t speak Italian. It’s not that my kids don’t want to go and my ex would never let me take them. It’s not that I’ve never lived abroad or in such a rural area. And it’s not that moving that far would in and of itself be a very costly endeavor.
Nope. The hiccup is that while there are hundreds of very affordable options for long term rentals in Molise. Like this one, that even has a store front included.
I couldn’t find any long term rentals in the cities on the list. Plenty of more expensive Airbnb rentals, but no long-term rentals.
So I’m going to keep telling myself that’s the only obstacle holding me back. Yep. Just that one. Because otherwise I would be packing my things into a cargo container right this moment. Yep. Uhu. Sure would. π€ͺππ
I would visit Italy but not live there. I would eat myself to death there! Just thinking about eating the food and while gazing into the wonderful sunset, exploring the scenery is making me feel whimsical ππ
