I was at the gas station and the cashier is thing young teenager with long fake nails, tough with a feel like she has had some hard days behind her. And in walks this a bit younger teenager, but this one is scared of her own shadow. Their interaction attracts my attention and I try not to stare. I don’t know why. I don’t have any ill will towards either of them, not that I ever do really. But I like to give people space. I learned that at the Buddhist retreat, not sure it was a good lesson to take outside of their.
The younger one needed clear directions to the bathroom. The cashier was trying to be concise I think. It was an odd exchange. The juxtaposition was so poignant.
