Introverts: The Life-Changing Power of Setting Healthy Boundaries

I found this article very helpful today. Just what I needed to hear. Link below but here are some great highlights.

  • You have a right to be who you are and to live your own life harmlessly, even if others don’t like it.
  • You don’t have to feel guilty for not behaving as others might want you to, or for not giving others what they expect of you.
  • You have a right to your imperfections and shortcomings. Do not feel guilty for being imperfect!
  • You are completely acceptable just as you are right at this moment, with whatever sensations, thoughts, and feelings you’re experiencing.

I have always enjoyed reading and writing. Maybe because I have always been on the quiet and reclusive side; which most people may not guess at first glance or if seeing me in a social setting, especially around people I am comfortable with but it’s also not something I have an issue with. I need solitude to recharge. Writing gives me the peace and time to renew that is offered to you for your enjoyment and pleasure as well. I hope. Lol
