I love the Northwest. The vibe here is unique, sure yes…… just like everywhere else in the world and universe. I like it here though. I find it always interesting and there is so much to appreciate about living here. So much to enjoy. If I had a nickel for everytime I heard someone say or ask “Is this local?” locally sourced, locally owned, locally raised, locally produced, locally manufactured. This is a very important thing to people that live here.
And if you’ve never tried a Marionberry* I highly suggest trying them if you happen to like berries. Yummy!!!!! This local push also translates well into supporting mom and pop shops and keeping what makes Portland Portland…..which yes…maybe to some is weird. I happen to love that we have more real sex clubs here than Vegas even does.
Now of course every place has pluses and minuses….this we all know. There is also a lot of moisture here. It makes it green and lush and full of water and nature, and I love the moss that grows on absolutely everything. This also means mold though. Today’s project is repainting some of my window panes wood because even though I treated and painted it last year with anti-mold paint it has resurfaced. Not much, but more than what I need. Because I don’t need mold in my life. Who does really? I can’t seem to find the win/win there. Anyway…
Brad is here to help, because that’s what partners do and he is here with a loving heart. I couldn’t ask for better than that. Oh wait. No. I gave him carte blanche to use body later as his own personal sex toy…or masturbation instrument. This should be fun! 😋
Hope you’re day is full and happy.
*I’m going to go on a tirade here a bit. Genetic/DNA modifications vs breeding. Both have issues of course because both are purposeful manipulations. The latter at least allows for nature to have more of a role. Think of a dog. Mutt vs breeding dog. The breed dogs general have more physical (health) issues than mutts but over time they can keep breeding them to a point that is acceptable for the breeder and beneficial for the animal, ideally.
They do this same thing with foods. Where they splice them and see what takes. Which pluses and minuses from both species are created. Crispr to me is taking it too far though and playing God. And maybe if it would only be used for good and maybe if it was all done humanely and ethically and maybe if we better understood the consequences of doing all this……
But these are just way you many maybe’s for me. I’m a less is more person when it comes to almost everything but kindness, compassion and love. I think if we just all shared and integrated the wonderful resources this beautiful world gives us we would be ok. We wouldn’t have to revert to frankenscience. But Marionberries are a wonderful thing, and I’m glad they were created.
