I think we all get the history behind the tradition….. but more than anything I like the sentiment of it. Giving thanks! I think we should all do that daily, continually, and habitually. It would make life so much better. I read this horrible excerpt yesterday.

(She is rather gorgeous and has this air about her. Doesn’t she? American royalty; like it or not I suppose. Anyway…….)

This mode of thinking doesn’t occur to me. It’s so outside my radar, but I bet criminals must have much of the same mentality. I wonder though if they ever come to the realization that happiness can’t be had in acquisitions or entitlements, in power, money or prestige.

There’s an anecdote I read a few years ago that said that when they asked some famous emperor from ages past how happy he was he said he could count the days of true happiness on one hand. I like to believe it’s true and I’ve known enough rich and powerful people first hand to see that they have their own issues and struggle to find true, deep, inner happiness just as much as anyone else does.

I was fighting a bout of anxiety earlier and recognized that just being grateful for the good in the situation and letting it present however it was going to made it not just bearable but actually pleasant. I turned around a situation that was causing me distress simply by changing how I looked at it and letting it be. It seems almost too easy. Right?

The wonders of gratitude… and it’s free and can be done anywhere, at anytime, in any situation. If that isn’t fucking miraculous then I’m not sure what is.

May your day be full of gratitude and happiness. I’m just hoping I can get an orgasm in today. Now that would be spectacular!!

I have always enjoyed reading and writing. Maybe because I have always been on the quiet and reclusive side; which most people may not guess at first glance or if seeing me in a social setting, especially around people I am comfortable with but it’s also not something I have an issue with. I need solitude to recharge. Writing gives me the peace and time to renew that is offered to you for your enjoyment and pleasure as well. I hope. Lol
